Yellow Sea Sediment and Onyx Necklace
A gift of beauty, sea sediment collected from the yellow Sea. Perfect to wear with autumnal garments that resemble the fallen leaves of a deciduous forest.
Yellow sea sediment is a form of jasper, that is the colour of the golden sand found in the yellow sea.
Onyx is a dyed microcrystaline quartz, that is naturally brown or grey when mined. However it is highly polished, heat treated and dyed to enhance its colour and quality.
I have lovingly crafted this yellow sea sediment and onyx necklace using 18 x 13mm Pillow shaped beads. I have teamed them with 4mm Onyx beads, strung alternately.
The necklace measures 19" (48cm) long and Ihave finished it with a gold plated "nickel free" clasp and extension chain to comply with EU directives.
