Black onyx is a dyed microcrystaline quartz, that is naturally more often brown or grey in colour when originally mined. The stones are highly polished, heat treated and dyed to enhance their appearance. They look stunning when worn with anything from a little black dress for that evening out. or even a clerical suit.
As the beads are tiny and only 4mm round, I have made this necklace 16" (40cm) long, especially for the petite lady in mind. I have finished it with a silver plated "nickel free" clasp to comply with EU directives.
