Black Onyx is a dyed microcrystaline quartz, that was naturally more often a brown or grey colour when originally mined. The stones are highly polished, heat treated and dyed to enhance their appearance. They look stunning with anything from a little black dress for an evening out, or even a clerical suit.
I have made these earrings with 6mm round and rondell shaped beads with little silver spacer bead to separate each one individually. The silver plated earring posts and scrolls are "nickel free" to comply with EU directives.
