Most citrine starts life as amethyst and is heated to a molten state, to a point when the amethyst loses its purple colour and changes to lemon and yellow.
Citrine is the birthstone for Scorpio - October 24th - November 21st.
I have made this necklace using 12 x 8mm oval flat beads of genuine citrine crystal quartz. The necklace measures 45cm (17.5") long and I have added an extension chain so that it can be worn longer if necessary The clasp and extension chain are "Nickel Free" gold plated to comply with EU directives.
