Deep imperial purple amethyst stud earrings. Classically crafted to a timeless majestic design. A must have gift and birthstone for anyone born under the sign of Aquarious (water bearer) Jan 20 - Feb 18.
Amethyst grows in geodes, and the tone of the quartz changes from deep imperial purple, to a very pale almost lavender, due to its iron content. You will sometimes find what appears to be marks on larger amethyst beads, but this is where the bead has been polished and elements of the quartz still exists.
