Each individual agate is formed by filling a cavity in a host rock. Fire agate is a rock that glows unlike any other stone. Like embers in a fire.
Black onyx is a dyed microcrystaline quartz that was naturally, more often brown or grey in colour when originally mined. The stones are highly polished and not only stunning, they accentuate the fire agate.
This necklace measures 26" (66cm) long. Designed with three 40 x 30mm oval fire agate beads, evenly spaced with 6mm black onyx round beads, and also inc;uded are faceted black crystals and silver spacer beads to compliment it. I have finished this necklace with a silver plated "nickel free", toggle style clasp, to comply with EU directives.
